What is EIVYRN?

Now I'll be honest, music artists like Duster, Helvetia, Panchiko, Korea Girl, and Eiafuawn have been a huge influence on me, ESPECIALLY Eiafuawn. For those who don't know about Clay Parton's work, Eiafuawn was his solo music project after Duster split in the year 2000. Pronounced "ee-uh-fon", EIAFUAWN is an acronym standing for: "Everything is all fucked up and whatnot."

I decided to adapt a similar name for my music project, though since I am a gluttonous bastard, I thought it would be funny to call myself EIVYRN (everything is very yummy right now). It has a cool spelling, looks mysterious, though its meaning is entirely fucking stupid. I can't imagine many people will bring it up in conversation, but it's pronounced "eye-vern" for those who are curious.

Originally, Eivyrn was the intended name for my solo music project. As I started creating this site, I struggled to think of a cool name for a blog so I fell back on my music project name. For all intents and purposes, though, I go by Dudër. Any postings on this site are made by yours truly unless specified otherwise!

My hopes for this site

It's been a looooong while since I've built a website. I used to experiment with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript as a young'un in high school, though I was never any good at it. Since modern social media algorithms are complete SLOP, I thought it would be nice to carve out a small slice of the internet to call my own. While this site is intended to serve as an archive for all my creative endeavors, I'll likely ramble or post about all the little things that catch my interest.

For now, my current hyperfixation is building up this website! I've been in a huge creative block for the past short while, so my hope is that this website will grant me some inspiration to start creating music and digital art again. I don't anticipate that my site will receive many visitors, but it's a fun creative outlet for now. I will try to update my site often!
